1. The dye industry is used to produce vulcanized dyes, which are raw materials of vulcanized green and blue sulfide. The printing and dyeing industry is used as a dye aid for dissolving vulcanized dyes. In leather industry, it is used to hydrolyze the raw skin to depilate, and to prepare sodium polysulfide to accelerate the dry skin soaking and soft. The paper industry is used as a cooking agent for paper. Textile industry is used for denitrification and nitrification reduction of man-made fibers, and mordant for dyeing cotton fabrics. Pharmaceutical industry is used to produce thermolytic drugs such as fenacetin. In addition, it is also used to prepare sodium thiosulfate, sodium sulfide, sodium polysulfide, etc.
2. Adding appropriate amount of sodium sulfide to the alkaline etching solution of aluminum and alloy can improve the surface quality of etching, and also be used for the removal of zinc and other alkali soluble heavy metal impurities in alkaline etching solution.
3. Sodium sulfide can also be used for the treatment of conductive layer in direct electroplating. The purpose of forming a good conductive layer on the nonmetal surface is achieved by the reaction of sodium sulfide with palladium to produce colloidal palladium sulfide.
4. As corrosion inhibitor. It is also raw materials for sodium thiosulfate, sodium polysulfide, and sulfurization dyes.
5. It is used for manufacturing vulcanized dyes, leather depilant, metal smelting, photography, denitration of artificial silk, etc.
